We have created a list of the most frequently asked questions and corresponding answers to provide you quick access to helpful information.

1. Does the system require network connection?
VF VeriFlexx is a stand-alone system that does not require a network connection.

2. Which cards can be read with the system?
VF VeriFlexx can read EC, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and RFID cards. It also supports reading virtual cards from Google Pay and Apple Pay.

3. Can customer cards also be used with the VF VeriFlexx system?
Customer cards can be used with the VF VeriFlexx system. These cards must be from the Mifare series (13.56 MHz). Customer cards must always be programmed into the system by VF. In this case, a flat-rate programming fee applies.

A common characteristic must be present on the cards. A serial number can be read and written to memory, but it cannot be used to authorize the cards within the system. If the card data is encrypted, we need the card key in addition to the storage location of the characteristic and the card number.

We can also offer you pre-printed and encoded cards (for an additional charge). In this case, we will also program the cards for you. We will then need your template for printing.

4. What requirements must be met at the installation site? What components do I need to be able to use VF VeriFlexx?
You'll need a pulse-controlled or continuous current-operated door opener on the door.

5. Where are the VF VeriFlexx reader and the associated controller box usually installed?
VF VeriFlexx is mounted on the door to be opened, on any surface. The controller box is usually located inside the building, e.g., in designated rooms that provide access to the PC.

6. What is the maximum distance between the two main components, the VF VeriFlexx reader and the associated controller box, in the installation?
The distance between the card reader and the controller box can be up to 30 m. The cross-section of the power cable must be selected accordingly – the greater the distance between the card reader and the controller box, the thicker the connecting cable should be (e.g., 4-wire).

7. Which operating system do I need?
You will need a standard PC or laptop running Windows (Windows 11 or earlier versions). Only a USB port is required. There are no other requirements.

8. What data does the system store? What is the privacy policy?
With the VF VeriFlexx system, no personal data is read from the cards. Identification is based on the card numbers printed on the cards. Neither the account number, bank code, nor even the name of the person can be traced by the operator. Only the date, time, card number, and card expiration date are stored in the ring buffer.

9. Is age verification possible with the VF VeriFlexx system?
The VF VeriFlexx system provides 24/7 access with debit, credit, and RFID cards. Age verification must be implemented by using a separate age verification device.

10. Is it possible to make a payment for the purchase with the VF VeriFlexx system?
The VF VeriFlexx system provides 24/7 access to self-service shops, 24/7 farm shops, and 24/7 supermarkets with debit, credit, and RFID cards. The payment function must be implemented by using a separate self-checkout system.

11. Is the software included when I purchase the VF VeriFlexx system? Are there any license fees? Are there software updates available?
With the purchase of the VF VeriFlexx system, you also receive the corresponding software, which is preconfigured for common payment methods. There are no license fees. Software updates are not necessary.
